It was clear that early on I struggled with pacing in my lessons. My cooperating teacher started to mark down what times I moved onto a new part of my lessons. After I analyzed the times I aimed for and how long I was actually spending on certain parts of my lessons I began to realize just how long I was spending. I saw profess over the three week block in the sense that I was able to increase the pace of my lessons and I could more accurately predict how long it would take me to move through material.
The comment about letting the students demonstrate what they know when introducing a topic was something that I noticed was missing in all classes. That was the biggest thing I took from this target sheet was to let students have the opportunity to be knowledgeable, right, and teach.
